Steps to Change the Asset/Entity Name AlphaX Cloud

This guide explains how to update or change the name of an existing entity in the system interface.

Before you begin, ensure the following conditions are met:

• You have an active AlphaX account.
• You are logged into AlphaX.
• You have the necessary edit permissions to update asset information.
• You know the correct new name and associated metadata (e.g., tags, parent entity, asset class).

1. Click Configuration and Asset Hierarchy
    
2. Choose an entity you would rename and click manage
   
   
3. From here you can Edit entity, tag, parent and asset class and click save
   
4. Once saved, Click Refresh Hierarchy
   
   
   *Make sure the hierarchy refreshes completely so that all newly added or edited entities are updated in the list.
